GALLIPOLI – There was more good news for the Inter youth academy today as the Giovanissimi Regionali B won the 12th Torneo Carnevale in Gallipoli. The young Nerazzurri took the crown in some style, crushing Juventus 6-1 in the final at the Stadio Antonio Bianco.
The result tops a fantastic showing from Paolo Migliavacca’s boys at the tournament. Having already taken maximum points from the group stages, scoring 18 goals and conceding none, the Nerazzurri went on to beat Napoli 3-0 before destroying Pantanelli Siracusa 8-0 in the semi-finals.
Providing the goals against the Bianconeri were Esposito (2), D’Isidoro, Sakho, Barazzetta and L. Moretti. Sakho was also named best forward at the tournament.
