HERNANES: "NOW WE HAVE TO DO THAT CONSISTENTLY"

Brazilian midfielder speaks to the media at "Amici dei Bambini... Un esempio per loro" prize-giving event

MILAN – Hernanes spoke to reporters at Enterprise Hotel, Milan this evening, where he received the "Amici dei Bambini... Un esempio per loro" prize.

The Brazilian midfielder discussed Inter's recent win over Palermo and his own form among other things

He began: "Sunday was a big moment for us. Before then we'd been playing well but results weren't going our way. It was a good win and hopefully it will help us kick on now as we head into the business end of the season. We're a great team and it's not normal that we've lost so many games. We did what we needed to do against Palermo – score more goals and not let any in. Now we have to do that consistently.

"I wasn't playing so much because I spent two months on the sidelines. I know Mancini believes in me. The main thing was getting out of that rut without results. It doesn't matter who plays; whoever's in the best form should play. We all have to keep on grafting.

"Europa League? Now is not the time to say how far we can go but yes we'd obviously like to win it.

"Icardi? He's very focused. He's done brilliantly - he's having a fantastic season."
