INTER MARK HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY

FC Internazionale remember Arpad Weisz and all victims of the Holocaust

MILAN – On Holocaust Remembrance Day, FC Internazionale wish to remember the men, women and children killed at the hands of the Nazis. Among the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust, Inter pay tribute to Arpad Weisz, the most successful Nerazzurri coach of the 1930s.

The brilliant Hungarian was born in Solt on 16 April 1896, becoming a footballer and then coach, primarily in Italy. He holds the honour of being the man who discovered Giuseppe Meazza, handing him a first-team debut in the Coppa Viola against Como. His last management job came at Dordrecht, in Holland.

And it was from there that Weisz and his family made their last journey, to Poland and Auschwitz.

Coach, father, human being: Inter remember Arpad, and the millions of people who lost their lives during the Holocaust.
