MILAN - If you think about an Inter v Sampdoria clash with Mancini in the home dugout, your thoughts will inevitably stray to that match in the 2005/06 season. The comeback. Six minutes were all it took for Inter to surge back from 0-2 to 3-2. San Siro was a furnace that night, spurring the Nerazzurri on to glory. The whole stadium felt part of that team and that wonderful victory.
Tonight’s match can be a repeat of that. Not just because, like then, the match is being played in January. Not just because Roberto Mancini is once again at the Inter helm. And not just because any evening spent at the stadium with the Nerazzurri has the potential to be an unforgettable experience, just like that match was in 2006. There is great anticipation in the air, not least to see new boys Xherdan Shaqiri and Lukas Podolski in Coppa Italia action for the first time.
Tickets are available online at inter.it/tickets right up until kick-off and can be loaded onto SiamoNoi cards or purchased as e-tickets to print at home. Fans can also buy tickets at over 500 vivaticket sales points, a list of which can be found here.
The stadium ticket offices will open at 17:30. Fans not in possession of a ticket are invited to arrive at the stadium at least one hour before kick-off in order to avoid long queues. The gates will open at 19:00.
Tickets bought to print at home can also be saved onto smartphones and used to enter the stadium. It’s an easy, quick way to avoid queuing!
Entry is free without an assigned seat to all children up to the age of five. The match is also covered by 2014/15 season tickets and two-year season tickets bought last year.
We would like to remind all Italian citizens residing in Liguria that they must bring their fan card to the stadium to be granted entry.
See you at San Siro, and forza Inter!
