JONATHAN'S JOY AT "THE END OF A NIGHTMARE"

After coming on as a second-half sub against PSG, the Brazilian right-back revealed his relief at having finally shaken off his injury setbacks

MARRAKECH - While most of his team-mates were returning to the pitch after a week's break over Christmas, for Jonathan crossing the white line against Paris Saint-Germain in this evening's friendly meant getting a taste of match action for the first time in over three months.

The Brazilian full-back has been struggling with injury problems since September and having finally got back out there tonight he made no attempt to hide his relief. "It's the end of my nightmare at last," he told Sportmediaset.

The 28-year-old then admitted: "I even felt a bit nervous at the start of the game because I'd never spent so long on the sidelines before. Now I need to get that fear out of my head. The new year starts with a massive game against Juve."
