BAKU - After skippering the side to a draw against Qarabag, Marco Andreolli revealed that he can see progress being made as the team adjust to the way Roberto Mancini wants to play.
Speaking after this evening's match in Baku, the defender told Mediaset: "We gave it everything we had and it was good for me to get a decent runout. I think we edged a bit closer to what the gaffer wants us to do tonight. Now we have to get on and start making up ground in the league."
The 28-year-old then expressed his sympaphy for tonight's opponents, who needed a win to go through to the knckout stage. "I'm sorry for Qarabag and all their fans. They pulled out all the stops because they wanted to qualify but it was important for us to come away with a positive result."
