HANDANOVIC: "ALWAYS TRY TO DO MY BEST"

Nerazzurri shotstopper discussed the team's performance and his penalty save after Inter beat Dnipro to qualify for the Europa League round of 32

MILAN – Samir Handanovic spoke to the media after playing a starring role in Inter's 2-1 Europa League triumph over Dnipro, a result which sees them qualify from Group F with a match to spare.

The Nerazzurri had to hold on at the end as they finished the game a man light following Ranocchia's second booking of the evening and Samir admitted: "We had to work hard for this win. We lacked a bit of conviction at the start and we weren't playing well but afterwards we showed the right spirit."

Did Inter struggle with four at the back? "That doesn't make any difference. The main thing is the mentality the team has."

Finally, when asked about saving a sixth penalty in a row, he replied in his usual modest manner: "It's my job to make saves and I try to do it as best I can. A new contract? That's something my agent is dealing with."
