SAINT-ETIENNE - Mateo Kovacic admitted that Inter probably deserved a point tonight while calling on the team to do even better.
Analysing the Nerazzurri's Europa League match with Saint-Étienne after the final whistle, the Croat mused: "We had the upper hand in the first period, while they were better after the restart so overall a draw is about right.
"It was a tough game because Saint-Étienne are a very strong, physical side, but we need to do better than that because we're capable of performing better.
"We faded a bit in the second half but then we've come through a tough period with lots of injury problems, the same players playing nearly every game."
On the injection of youth into the Inter side, Kovacic confirmed: "Bonazzoli and Palazzi both played really well."
