WUHAN – It's pre-matchday for Inter Forever as well over in China. Today they trained at the Sport Centre of Wuhan, which is also the venue for tomorrow's game between Hubei and the Nerazzurri.
In Europe they're known as former legends, in China they're capable of getting 30,000 people to cram into the stadium. That's because - as has been clear to us since day one - Inter are flying the flag for Italian football in a country that is desperate to keep expanding.
The workout included a warm-up, some possession drills and a training match on a small pitch. Luis Figo had a slight problem with a stiff muscle towards the end of the session but he wants to be involved tomorrow no matter what.
The morning was rounded off with an autograph session for fans belonging to Inter Clubs.
In the afternoon Javier Zanetti, Salvatore Fresi and Massimo Paganin paid a visit to a primary school in Huangshi, Xialu about 60 miles south-east of Wuhan. It was a dream come true for the children there: having the chance to meet an Inter legend as well as two other former Nerazzurri players, and getting to play sports with them too.
Now it's time to see them on a real pitch again: Inter Forever will be back in action tomorrow night.
