ICARDI: "WE STARTED STRONG, THAT'S WHAT THE GAFFER WANTED"

On his well-taken brace: "I often try shots like my first goal in training. I was lucky because it came off for me tonight"

MILAN - Mauro Icardi shared his views on Inter's success over Stjarnan after the final whistle: "No, Kovacic has to take the ball home!" he began, referring to the Croatian's hat-trick feat this evening.

He then commented on his own two strikes and the team's energetic start to the match:

"My first goal is something I try a lot in training. I was lucky today because it came off for me. The second was nice too. I'm delighted.

"We started very strong, that's what the gaffer wanted from us. You can't afford to relax for a second in the modern game."
