MAZZARRI'S VIEW ON WHAT LIES AHEAD IN SERIE A

Speaking from Washington DC, the coach told inter.it: "Milan derby and Juve clash exciting matches but in Italy every game comes with its difficulties"

WASHINGTON, DC – Following today's announcement of the Serie A fixture list for the coming season, inter.it spoke to Walter Mazzarri in Washington, DC to hear his views on what his team can expect in 2014/15.

Inter start the campaign with a trip to Torino. "It's one of the hardest places to go in Italy," the coach admitted. "They're a very accomplished side and they ended last year on a high, qualifying for the Europa League."

Mazzarri did stress though that the order of the matches is only of relative importance, "because in the Italian championship every game comes with its difficulties; they're all very challenging."

The Nerazzurri boss reserved a special mention for two of the most highly anticipated fixtures for Nerazzurri fans: the Milan derby, which awaits Inter in Week 12, and the season's first meeting with Juve in Week 17. "It's right that the fans should be excited about those games because they're loaded with tradition. The derby comes around a bit earlier this time while last year we had Juve very early and now they're one of the last we'll face. They're prestigious, fascinating games but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter when they come because sooner or later you have to play everyone."
