MAZZARRI: "UNITED AND HUNGRY FOR BATTLE"

"The boys feel the workload but they’re working hard and trying to do everything I ask of them"

PINZOLO – After the first friendly of the season, coach Walter Mazzarri spoke to Inter Channel and then to the other journalists present here in Pinzolo:

"The boys have worked hard. They played a good match, although they’re obviously feeling the effects of the workload. Every day I can see how willing they all are. I’m happy with the group. They’re united and ready to battle.

"Jonathan in midfield? He’s getting used to it and doing it well. Juan Jesus? He’s really come back to form.

The coach then added to the other journalists present: "They all played good football and tried to put into action what I requested of them. And obviously little things can improve. The one thing I’d like to see more of is better finishing."

Mazzarri was asked to comment on the recent developments at Juventus. "I pay attention to what goes on in our house," he replied.

Finally, a comment on new arrival Yann M’Vila and Ranocchia wearing the captain’s armband: "Yann has just arrived. He has to get situated, but he touches the ball well and knows how to move on the pitch. He just needs to train and acquire autonomy. Andrea is the right age to carry the responsibility the armband brings. And he has all the right qualities to do it."
