SAMADEN: "THE FINAL, AN INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENT"

Nerazzurri youth academy director's thoughts on the Final Eight. Inter's 22nd final in 10 years

MILAN - A day on, people are happy. And that had to be the case. Because when you reach your 22nd final in 10 years, it's hard not to smile.

Yesterday, saw the Allievi beat Parma in the Final Eight semi-finals. Today is a rest day before the last match. The most important one. The game against AC Milan (Thursday 19 June, kick-off 17:00).

Roberto Samaden, the Nerazzurri youth academy director gave his view, beginning with yesterday's encounter.

"It was rollercoaster ride of emotions and Parma put in a terrific performance. We did well to react and not let our heads drop. If I had to choose a player who epitomised that, it would be without a doubt Radu. First he conceded that crazy goal, then scored the winning penalty. That's a sign of extraordinary mental toughness. And it's not just individual, it's a team trait. I'd also like to congratulate Parma, the reigning Italian champions and Francesco Palmieri, their academy director."

On Thursday, it's AC Milan.

"I'm extremely happy we've reached the final. It's an incredible achievement that shows how consistently we've worked and continue to do so. It will be a very tough game, we know that, but we'll be ready."
