MILAN - It's here at last! The 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil kicks off today with the entire globe watching. After the opening ceremony, the first match will see hosts Brazil take on Croatia and a match-up between two Nerazzurri players: Hernanes versus Mateo Kovacic.
In the following days Fredy Guarin's Colombia are due to face Greece while Yuto Nagatomo and Japan will lock horns with Ivory Coast. Ricky Alvarez, Hugo Campagnaro and Rodrigo Palacio will be hoping to see action when Argentina do battle with Bosnia on 15 June, then Saphir Taider's Algeria make their tournament bow on 17 June against Belgium.
Finally, a thought for Italy's 24th man Andrea Ranocchia, who has always given his all for the Azzurri cause regardless.
