MILAN – It was honours even at the Meazza in Serie A Week 35 as Inter and Napoli played out a lively goalless draw.
The first half was played at a particularly high tempo with a number of chances for both sides, the best openings falling Inter's way - Palacio and Icardi both going close.
Soon after the restart, Napoli nearly broke the deadlock through Higuain and Mertens, Nagatomo and Handanovic coming to the rescue. The Nerazzurri then came to the fore as Palacio and Icardi both saw headers go wide, before the game started to peter out as legs tired. Napoli had the better chances late on: Inler gave Inter a real scare when he slammed a vicious low drive against the post.
