MILAN - Everyone's still talking about him, in bars, at the newsagents, on basketball courts and even on football pitches. Different sport, different people, different world, but three is still the magic number for Inter.
Put it this way: time stopped for Marco Belinelli on 16 February 2014. The 3-point contest he won has since become legendary. He was the first ever Italian to do it. Just as the Inter treble-winning side is legendary. As is Giacinto Facchetti. The number three is very prominent in this tale: Giacinto Facchetti wore it for the Nerazzurri and made it iconic, Marco Belinelli chose it for his new life at the San Antonio Spurs and, besides having had a stellar season so far, he also won the 3-point contest. Perhaps he picked it because it was meant to be. These are tales of real men who inspire their team. They are unique.
All of this has gone before but a lot has still to happen. For Inter and Marco. Nerazzurri fans all over the world will have become Belinelli fans and Inter are ready to write a new chapter in the club's history. From Italy to the United States, from Asia to South America and Africa.
Inter will tour the US in July 2014 and Nerazzurri fans are already making themselves heard in the land of basketball, baseball, American football and ice hockey - oh and now soccer of course.
With another great supporter on board.
We would like to thank Marco Belinelli and the San Antonio Spurs for the pictures of their training facility.
