CERRONE: "THE ANSWERS I WAS LOOKING FOR"

"The boys have realised they need to put in the legwork if they want to achieve things. Playing with this attitude and conviction we can have a say in matters"

MILAN - Primavera coach Salvatore Cerrone spoke to Inter Channel after his young charges beat Udinese 1-0.

He began by expressing his satisfaction with the improvement his side has shown in the last two games. "I wanted to see the same team I saw last Saturday against Atalanta: compact, industrious and determined. My boys won playing on a heavy pitch against a decent team. We're building some good things here. Last week's win was the fillip we needed to get going again. We suffered at times today, as you expect to against a good side, but most importantly this was another positive response after that draw with Pescara, our second win in a row. We held our shape well too.

"Of course there were some mistakes but I saw the lads helping each other out and that's one of the things we've been working on: sticking close together and running for your team-mate, toiling for the team. I'd like to mention Capello as an example. Three times he came back to help Eguelfi today and that's something I hadn't seen him do for a while. The boys have realised they need to put in the legwork if they want to achieve things.

"After the draw with Pescara I said to the lads that there were 10 games left and that we should aim to take as many points as possible. We've got eight left now and we'll see how far we can go. We must concentrate on doing well in every game then we'll take stock after the last match. If we keep playing with this attitude and conviction we can have a say in things."
