President Erick Thohir announced today that he has appointed Michael Williamson as the club's new Chief Financial Officer

MILAN – F.C. Internazionale Milano President Erick Thohir announced today that he has appointed Michael Williamson as the club's new Chief Financial Officer. Williamson will join Inter in early March as he moves over from the American MLS side D.C. United, a club with which Inter has a strategic partnership.

"I am very excited to bring a sports finance expert of Michael's background to Inter," said President Thohir, who is also the majority owner of D.C. United. "His work ethic and integrity are second to none, and he understands both the objectives we are seeking and the process to achieve those results."

"It is truly an honor to join the F.C. Internazionale Milano family," Williamson stated. "I look forward to working with the entire management team as we affirm Inter's position as one of the world's top ten clubs."

Williamson has served with D.C. United for the last seven years, first as CFO before taking on responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer in 2013. For DCU, Williamson managed all aspects of club operations, including oversight of a deal to secure a new stadium.
