CITTADELLA – Three points were called for and three points were obtained. Salvatore Cerrone's Primavera secured victory at Cittadella after a fiercely contested match in which the hosts perhaps deserved more than the solitary goal they managed to score late on.
The Nerazzurri played well and established a 2-0 lead thanks to two first-half penalties from Puscas and Acampora. Baldini then put Inter firmly in control with a well-taken third after the restart before Eulogi netted a late consolation.
The win sees Inter move up to 33 points in the table just one point behind second-placed Chievo, who still have to play AC Milan (fourth).
There will be break in the championship now because of the Viareggio Cup: Cerrone's are due to enter the prestigious tournament at the last-16 stage on Tuesday 11 February.
