MILAN – There are no championship matches for the Nerazzurri youth teams during this first weekend of 2014 as the respective youth leagues are observing the mid-season break, but all are set to take part in friendly fixtures. The Under-15s will be the first to see some action when they take to the field for their opening game of the Memorial Ielasi tournament tomorrow.
Here's the full rundown of youth academy matches over the coming days:
Salvatore Cerrone's Primavera (U19s) are due to play Genoa in a friendly at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti on Monday 6 January (14:30 kick-off).
The Allievi Nazionali Serie A and B (U17s) coached by Gianmario Corti also face a friendly match on 6 January at 14:30, away to Aldini.
Meanwhile the Allievi Nazionali Lega Pro (U16s), under the stewardship of Benoit Cauet, are set to take part in the 3rd Angelo Seveso Tournament on Sunday 5 January (times to be confirmed), at the Centro Sportivo Seveso Calciolandia in Vimodrone (MI).
Stefano Bellinzaghi's Giovanissimi Nazionali (U15s) travel to Novara for a friendly encounter on Sunday. Kick-off is scheduled for 11:00.
Finally, the Giovanissimi Regionali (U14s), guided by Marco Mandelli, will be competing in the 4th Memorial Ielasi tournament being held in Rome from Thursday 2 to Tuesday 7 January. Barcelona are among the big clubs taking part, with the first match kicking off at 10:30.
