ERICK THOHIR: "WORKING HARD FOR INTER"

The president spoke to reporters outside club HQ: "Signings? We'll decide with the coach and sporting directors according to what the team needs"

MILAN - President Erick Thohir took a few questions from journalists as he left Inter HQ in Corso Vittorio Emanuele this a short while ago.

inter.it provides you with the president's words in full:

How far is the gap between this Inter and the Inter you have in mind?
"It could take between one and three years to rebuild. I think the first six months are very important because we have new structures and new strategies. So it's going to be hard work but that's why I'm working today [laughing]! And tomorrow will be another long day."

Who will Inter's next signing be?
"It will be a collective decision with board, the coach and the sporting directors. We've discussed a few things for January but let's see."

Are you looking for young players or famous players?
"It depends on the needs of the team because I think we have a good blend of young and senior players but of course we might look to change something here and there."

How long will it take?
"The transfer window lasts until the end of January so it will take two months!"

How many players are you looking to sign in January?
"I don't think it's about how many players; I think the most important thing is what the team needs. Because if you have players but they don't play, then it's not a very good way of buying. You have to play."

You'll see Inter v Sampdoria and the Milan derby. Which is more important?
"I think all the games are important."
