PRESENTING INTER FOR 2013/14

Remember that special afternoon from the Arena Civica "Gianni Brera" in Milan? Well, here is the final product: the team photo

MILAN – The idea was that of recreating something similar to the project in New York last summer when Fabrizio Ferri took the Inter photos from the observation deck of the Top of the Rock. Milan is lovely from up high as well, but it has a story of its own that can be told, together with Inter. This time behind the camera was Franco Origlia, journalist and author of 'Inter Campus, sport, passione, impegno', and he chose the Arena as the backdrop. It’s a symbol of Milan in the 1800s, but also a symbol for Inter as well.

This was the training ground used at the beginning of the 20th century, and it served as the stadium for the more intense matches when the one on Via Goldoni wasn’t quite enough. It was here that Benito Lorenzi, nicknamed ‘Veleno’ [poison], covered the pitch, giving advice to Skoglund, that restless champion he had taken in as something of a younger brother. It was here that Angelo Moratti’s Inter took their team photo upon winning their first Scudetto.

And it was here on a sunny afternoon that Walter Mazzarri’s Inter arrived. Forty-five minutes were needed to take the three different shots that were eventually chosen. They will be in the almanacs for the 2013/14 season, but you can get an advance look at them now, exclusively on inter.it
