BERGAMO - Walter Samuel spoke to Inter Channel after getting a taste of competitive action for the first time since April against Atalanta tonight.
"I'm back on the pitch at last. It was a difficult game but I felt quite good even though I've been out for nearly six months. I was sorry to miss out before now but my team-mates have been putting in a huge amount of work and effort.
"We tried to go for it and win the game but a draw is perhaps a fair result in an evenly balanced tie. They didn't have a lot of shots but they caught us out on our first mistake.
"Should I have been given a penalty? It was the sort of thing that happens all the time and it just ends there. It certainly wasn't a foul by me. But I don't like complaining.
"Denis did well to score? There were a couple of mistakes in the build-up to that goal, and I should have marked him a bit tighter. But there's a long way to go and we can have our say in things until the end."
