MILAN – After Inter’s 4-2 victory over Hellas Verona yesterday, the Nerazzurri are now able to look at an impressive series of statistics in their favour. Rolando’s goal, his first in the Serie A, means that 10 Inter players have found the net after Week 9. Only Fiorentina and Roma can boast having as many goal scorers in their team, thanks to strikes from Cuadrado and Bradley today (the first for each player this season).
Things are also looking rosy for Cambiasso, who last night hit his third league goal of the season. The Argentine has never enjoyed such a strong start since he’s been in Italy.
Another record, which was established tonight, sees Inter as one of the two most prolific attacks so far this 2013/14 league campaign, with 23 goals scored – level with the high-flying Roma.
It is also the equalling of a Serie A record in the era of the 3-point
victory, which was established in the 1994/95 season. So far only Lazio
(1999/00), AC Milan 2002/03 and Juventus (2003/04) have managed to claim 23
goals scored after Week 9.
