MILAN - President Massimo Moratti gave a few statements to reporters before Inter v Roma after being approached in the underground car park at the Stadio Meazza. This is what he had to say:
"There are plenty more tests to come after this. Tonight's game will show us how well the team can cope with a couple of important players missing. It's a test of their character."
The president was then asked about Inter's draw with Cagliari in Trieste: "We were disappointed to draw the game with Cagliari. It could have gone better for us but it didn't. We're not bitter about it though."
Probed for an update on negotiations with Thohir, Moratti replied: "At the moment I'm trying to work out how it will all end myself. If anything happens, we'll let you know. Thohir wants me to stay on as president? Yes, that's true. But we'll see."
