MILAN - 22 Maggio by Maria Grazia Severi is making its bow in the world of sport, creating the official Inter Milan Ladies's kit for this season (which began on 28 September). A product of the Modena-based fashion house's creativity, the kit the team will wear off the field reflects the glamour of 22 Maggio
by Maria Grazia Severi. This was a significant deal ahead of the team's opening match, with the girls on the back of promotion into Serie A after a string of successes which have – since the club was founded in 2007 – seen Inter Ladies improve dramatically.
"We're proud to be a part of this footballing adventure alongside a young and talented club: I wish the team a great season in the knowledge that this partnership can be fruitful for both parties," said Francesca Severi, the label's creative director.
The jewel in Elena Tagliabue's team is Regina Baresi. The captain and forward, 22, is the perfect example of the Nerazzurri's family tradition: she is the daughter of the president and Beppe Baresi, the ex-Inter star, currently on Mazzarri's staff. Regina does charity work alongside her playing commitments and is an ambassador for the Fondazione Pangea in the fight against violence towards women. This partnership is further evidence of the constant work to support and promote sporting and positive values, which are part of the fabric of 22 Maggio.
Inter Milan Ladies was founded in 2007 by Elena Tagliabue to create a competitive and friendly club environment. The club's philosophy, which is strongly supported by the president, is to develop athletes not only from a sporting perspective but from an educational one too.
