CERRONE: "GOOD RESULT BUT WE MUST LEARN FROM THIS"

Primavera coach analysed the win over Pescara with inter.it: "We need to work on defending set pieces and maintaining our focus for the whole game"

MILAN - Primavera coach Salvatore Cerrone spoke exclusively to inter.it after watching his team overcome Pescara in their third championship game of the season.

"It's a good result at a tough ground because they went into the game on the rebound following two defeats and wanted to make up for it at home. We didn't deal with set pieces as I'd have liked but we played some pretty good stuff and managed to take the lead and then double it. It's a shame we couldn't finish it off in the first half.

"I told the lads at half-time that it wasn't over and then Pescara went and got themselves back in it just a few minutes after the restart. At that point we lost our way a little, we stopped playing and our concentration levels and confidence dropped. As a result we gave away a series of set pieces which our opponents caused us problems with. That's something we need to work on: maintaining our focus.

"We managed to react anyway and channel our energy into taking the points home... and when we had the chance to break forward we asked questions of them and got the third goal.

"We need to learn from these things. We must do better and we know that, we've only played three games. We'll get straight back to work now because we're up against Atalanta next week."
