MILAN - Massimo Moratti paused to speak to Sky Sport Italia and Mediaset journalists as he arrived at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza before tonight's game between Inter and Juventus.
The president explained that "this is an important match and it will be interesting to see how far we've come. Juventus are a historical rival that we've shared much of our history with, both in the good and the bad."
The president was then asked if Walter Mazzarri is Inter's best signing and if the coach had asked him anything about the sale of the club. "No, I wouldn't say he's the best signing. I hope there are lots of other good signings and we'll get a chance to see that today. Without doubt Mazzarri is a central figure and he will remain so in the new Inter. He's also a person who gets on with his job; he's not at all intrusive."
Finally, Moratti was quizzed about the possibility that a group of Chinese investors may be involved in negotiations regarding the club. "There are lots of rumours and there's very little truth in what I've heard about this Chinese group. Thohir? It's not a case of being convinced before or not convinced now. It's about opportunities that depend on different factors."
