MILAN – Primavera coach Salvatore Cerrone gave his thoughts to Inter Channel after watching his young guns ease to a 3-0 victory over Cittadella this afternoon.
"The team is clicking nicely. We got off to a good start and most importantly we didn't concede. We didn't come under a lot pressure apart from one chance in the second period. We kept it tight. I'm especially pleased with our first-half display, although we should have put the game beyond them before we did – we had the chances to do so. Then once we put away the penalty in the second half we were fine.
"I'm pleased for Knudsen. He had a great game and scored too, which is always good for your confidence. One thing I didn't like was seeing the intensity of our play drop off a bit after the interval, but three matches in a week take it out of you and I couldn't overhaul the side completely. I think we're well set, at about 70% of our capabilities. We still need to improve but there's quality in this team and we can cause problems for anyone."
