MILAN - After the Primavera Coppa Italia match, which saw Salvatore Cerrone’s
Nerazzurri lads come away as 1-0 winners against Modena, the coach game some
exclusive statements to Inter Channel.
Alessandro Villa asked the coach if, starting tomorrow, there will be more
specific training on taking penalties, since two were missed in today’s match:
"And to think that I was calm, since the designated penalty taker took
them. However, these things can happen, but missing two in a matter of a few
minutes…"
"We had to stay in it until the end, although we could have locked up the
win sooner. The positive thing is how intensely we imposed our game today. They
packed it in but we did well to find space. The penalties also came from some
lovely attacking play on our part. We’re on the right path, but we still need
to add a few things to our movement.
"At any rate, advancing has given all of us a boost. Considering we’ve had 3 games in 7 days, today I had to make some changes from the Saturday line-up. I believe I’ll make some more next Saturday against Cittadella as well. I congratulated the boys because they showed they could still maintain balance and focus even when they were suffering. Another reason to be happy is that we gave away very little to our opponent. Again, the only regret is not having closed the game down sooner. However, we’re still at the top," concluded Cerrone.
