MILAN – Wearing the shirts of Cesena and now Inter, Yuto Nagatomo has made 99 appearances in competitive games in Italy (next Sunday he’ll reach 100 should he play against Catania). Today he scored his 7th goal in the country, which also happened to be his 3rd against Genoa, proving that he has become quite a thorn in their side over the years.
Nagatomo’s previous goals against the Grifone took place on 6 March 2011 in Inter 5-2 Genoa (his first ever goal in Italy) and 13 December 2011 at the Marassi in Genoa 0-1 Inter (his last league goal before tonight’s).
The scoring concluded this evening with Rodrigo Palacio’s goal against
his ex-side Genoa, which also improved his goal-scoring average with the
Nerazzurri: it now stands at 25 in 41 competitive matches.
