11 NERAZZURRI CALLED UP FOR INTERNATIONAL DUTY

Four Inter players involved in Italy v Argentina friendly, Nagatomo and Pereira face off in Miyagi, Olsen and Longo with U21s

MILAN – Eleven Nerazzurri players have been called up by their respective national teams for international friendlies on Wednesday 14 August.

Andrea Ranocchia is in Cesare Prandelli's Azzurri squad for the game against Argentina to be played in Rome, where he could face team-mates Rodrigo Palacio, Hugo Campagnaro and Ricardo Alvarez - all available for Alejandro Sabella.

Meanwhile, two more Inter players - Yuto Nagatomo and Alvaro Pereira - could find themselves on opposite sides when Japan and Uruguay meet in Miyagi.

Back in Europe, Fredy Guarin travels to Barcelona with Colombia for a friendly match against Serbia and Samir Handanovic's Slovenia venture north to Turku for a game with Finland.

Ishak Belfodil is part of the Algeria squad that will host Guinea in Blida.

Elsewhere, Samuele Longo has been called up by Luigi Di Biagio, as the former Inter midfielder prepares to make his debut in the Italy U21 dugout against Slovakia U21s in Senec.

Finally, another Nerazzurri youngster, Patrick Olsen, will hope to feature when he and his fellow Danes visit Dungannon for Denmark U21 v Northern Ireland U21.
