PRIMAVERA GROUPS CONFIRMED FOR 2013/14 CAMPAIGN

Inter U19s set to face AC Milan, Atalanta, Brescia, Cagliari, Chievo, Cittadella, Padova, Pescara, Ternana, Udinese, Varese, H.Verona, Virtus Lanciano

MILAN – The Lega Serie A has confirmed the groups for the 2013/14 Primavera (U19) championship. Forty-two teams have been divided into three groups for the regular season and Inter have once again been inserted in Group B, where this year they will be joined by AC Milan, Atalanta, Brescia, Cagliari, Chievo Verona, Cittadella, Padova, Pescara, Ternana, Udinese, Varese, Hellas Verona and Virtus Lanciano.

The Campionato Primavera kicks off on 24 August 2013 and the regular season comes to a close on 3 May 2014. The top two from each group automatically qualify for the Final Eight while the third, fourth and two best fifth placed teams will do battle to claim the last two spots via the playoffs.

Here are the three groups in full:

A: Bologna, Carpi, Cesena, Empoli, Genoa, Juventus, Modena, Novara, Parma, Sampdoria, Sassuolo, Siena, Spezia, Torino.

B: AC Milan, Atalanta, Brescia, Cagliari, Chievo Verona, Cittadella, Inter, Padova, Pescara, Ternana, Udinese, Varese, Hellas Verona, Virtus Lanciano.

C: Avellino, Bari, Catania, Crotone, Fiorentina, Juve Stabia, Latina, Lazio, Livorno, Napoli, Palermo, Reggina, Roma, Trapani.
