MILAN – The documents have been filed to definitively make Diego Laxalt an Inter player.
The 20-year-old Uruguayan midfielder has been purchased outright from Defensor Sporting and signed a contract for a period of five years.
Having come up through the Defensor youth academy, Laxalt became part of the first team at the age of 17 and gradually earned playing time on the pitch. Diego began to truly show his worth in the Apertura Tournament and the 2013 South American Youth Championship.
This fierce midfielder had been followed by scouts from many teams before committing to the Nerazzurri, who now welcome him to Walter Mazzarri’s group for the start of the U.S. tour.
