PINZOLO – Inter, president Moratti, his bid to return to action and the joy he gets off the fans. Diego Milito spoke about all of that in an exclusive interview with Mediaset's Marco Barzaghi after this morning's training session.
Asked for his view on the negotiations at club level with potential investors, Milito replied: "Let's wait and see what happens. I think the most important thing is what's good for Inter. What matters is that president Moratti is happy, then we'll see."
On the support Inter are getting from their fans in Pinzolo: "I think it's great that we have them here with us. There are always so many of them and I'll try to repay them with my performances on the pitch. I'm training well, I still need a bit of time before I can return to the action but I'm on the road back."
El Principe also commented briefly on Walter Mazzarri: "He makes you work a lot but I think it will be important for our fitness later on. Is he a leader like Mourinho? I hope so, Inter have everything they need to do well: he's a good coach and hopefully he can take us back to the top."
After brushing aside suggestions there might be a hitch with his contract renewal ("no problems there"), the Argentine striker sized up his new team-mates Mauro Icardi and Ishak Belfodil: "I'm happy they've come here because they're two lads with great futures ahead of them. We mustn't place too much responsibility on their shoulders but they'll be a success. Belfodil and Ramadan? I have no idea how he does it in this heat but I take my hat off to him."
