PINZOLO - Ishak Belfodil will wear the number 7 shirt and he cut an excited figure as he was introduced to the media at Pinzolo's Paladolomiti. He sat alongside sporting director Piero Ausilio and his fellow front man Mauro Icardi.
"I had at first chosen 18 from the numbers available, out of respect to Schelotto too, then I asked the club and they told me that it wasn't an issue. I've always preferred 7," the new Nerazzurri forward explained.
Belfodil then spoke about the demands of Ramadan: "The coach and staff are helping me a lot, because it's not easy. I'm still trying to give everything, especially as pre-season is crucial."
Who was Ishak's hero as a kid? "When I was young, I always loved Ronaldo," he said with a smile.
Then his thoughts on Walter Mazzarri and his first few days' work: "I met him a week ago, he's someone who loves his job, who never gives up, he's right behind us to make sure we can always do better. And I'll do everything I can to produce my best."
Belfodil then spoke about his favoured position on the field: "Mazzarri hasn't said anything to me yet, he simply told me we need to be aware of both roles in attack. My preferred position is as a centre forward but I can play wherever."

When asked about the league and Inter's main challengers, Belfodil claimed that "Juve are favourites but all the other sides will do everything they can to have a good season."
