MILAN - Five Inter players were in international action last night. Walter Gargano (full 90 minutes) and Alvaro Pereira (on after 85 minutes) helped Uruguay to a 1-0 win over Venezuela. Yuto Nagatomo's Japan - already sure of their place in next year's World Cup - saw off Iraq 1-0. Fredy Guarin (featured for 77 minutes) and Colombia also secured a big three points, beating Peru 2-0.
Rodrigo Palacio played the full 90 minutes for Argentina as they finished all square with Ecuador (1-1).
