Mateo, how's your Italian coming along?
"Better, I'm improving."
You've only been here a few months, but the fans have taken to you immediately. Do you have a message for them?
"I'd like to say a big thank you to all of them, I'm very happy to be here. I'm disappointed that things aren't going well, but I think we'll perform well both in our remaining matches this season, and over the coming years."
The team have had a tough time of late. How do you feel now, are you at 100% or can you still improve on what we've seen from you so far?
"We've not done well in the last few games. We need to win our last four because the season's not over yet. We can play well and I hope we show that."
And can you personally still improve?
"Yes, of course. You can always improve as a player."
What does Javier Zanetti mean to you? Do you have a message for him?
"First and foremost, Javier is a lovely human being. Then, he's a great captain. I'm very happy to have got to know him, and sad about the injury he's suffered. But I know he'll be fit and back among us soon. I know it's a bad injury, but I hope he's back soon and we'll be waiting for him."
