MILAN - Javier Zanetti just keeps breaking records. The Inter captain made his 1,100th appearance against Parma, meaning he lies 4th in the all-time appearance lists.
Unsurprisingly, the top ten is dominated by goalkeepers, with Peter Shilton out in front on 1,390 matches. Four more goalies feature in the top eight, including Shilton's fellow countrymen Clemence and Seaman, as well as Pat Jennings and Brazilian free-kick specialist Rogerio Ceni.
Zanetti can now set his sights on the two men above him: who knows, by this time next year Pupi could be in second place.
