MILAN – The post-match wouldn’t be the same without hearing from Javier
Zanetti, who spoke to Inter Channel about the convincing win against Parma:
"We got back to winning at home again. These are three important points
after a run of poor results. Considering the period we’ve been in we truly
deserved this win. It was a hard fought game. They had a few chances but we
gave little away. We had to take advantage of every bit of space because they
close down and hit you on the break. It was difficult but we did a good job
finding the right spots."
The captain continued: "Now we have five games left. They’ll be tough ones against teams that are fighting for survival or Europe. But we have our own goals as well. Now we want to put in a good week of work. We hope to get some of our players back and challenge our upcoming opponents, just as we’ve always done. But we’re on the right path. We have to make the most of this week in order to work hard and keep adding points in the standings, which could end up making a difference for us."
