KUZMANOVIC: "HERE TO PROGRESS AND IMPROVE"

Serbian midfielder is tonight's guest on Inter Channel's Prima Serata: "Palacio's injury doesn't change our targets"

APPIANO GENTILE - Zdravko Kuzmanovic is this week's guest on Inter Channel's Prima Serata, tonight at 21:00 on Sky Italia channel 232.

"I felt at home here right from the start, they all gave me a warm welcome and I'm really happy," explained the Serbian midfielder. "When I started playing I had a few fitness issues, but I'm OK now. I can't give myself a mark out of ten after only two and a half months here, that's for other people to judge. I dream of winning, the ultimate success would be a repeat of what Inter did in May 2010, but for now we need to think about what we can do, in terms of Serie A and the Coppa Italia. Personally, I will give everything for as long as I'm at the club."

Kuzmanovic was then asked if Inter's targets were still the same despite the injury to Rodrigo Palacio: "We want to qualify for the Champions League, that hasn't changed. I feel sorry for Rodrigo because he's scored a lot of goals and is important for the team. Now we need to find another solution, the coach will do that to the best of his ability and we'll move forward. Milito's absence? I've not yet had the chance to play with him but, from what I've seen in training, he's really good. I remember his goals in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich. I supported Inter that night, and they deserved to win the trophy after the campaign they'd had. Once they beat Barcelona I knew Inter would win the trophy."

Kuzmanovic's experience at Stuttgart before coming to Inter means he's perfectly placed to explain the differences between Italian football and the Bundesliga: "They're very, very different. Over there they work more on fitness and running, and do less on technique and tactics. Plus, whereas Inter is a big club, Stuttgart aren't considered a big club in Germany and so the targets are different accordingly. I improved tactically during my time at Fiorentina, I gained muscle mass at Stuttgart and got fitter, and now I'm back in Italy, at Inter, to keep improving. What do I think of Italy? I really like living here. I've experienced life in Switzerland and Germany, but as soon as I left Italy I started to miss it. It came down to a decision based on lifestyle. It's hard to say what I've made of coming back to Serie A after only two months, I'm going to need a bit more time."

Don't miss more of the interview with Kuzmanovic on Prima Serata, coming up in two hours' time.
