GENOA - After putting in another convincing display this evening, Alvaro Pereira reflected on the problems Inter encountered at the Stadio Lugi Ferraris: "It was a difficult surface to play on, a bit dry and the grass was long," the Uruguayan explained to Inter Channel. "It wasn't easy at all but fortunately we got the win."
The full-back was then asked about his own performance: "It was important for me to get a run going and build up my confidence. I always aim to do what's best for the team. You get matches where things don't got so well but I want to improve all the time. We played an intelligent game and we knew it wasn't going to be easy, but it was important to win especially after losing on Saturday. Now we'll move on to Atalanta with morale high. We need to take each game as it comes."
Asked about Rodrigo Palacio's red-hot form, Pereira replied: "He's having a fantastic season and hopefully he'll keep it up until the end of the year. We'll do everything we can to help him."
