INTER CLUB NUMBERS KEEP RISING

Over 110,000 members, 883 clubs in Italy, 73 across the world, biggest in Indonesia, first club in Argentina

MILAN – The 2012/13 enrolment period for Inter Clubs ended on 28 February and the statistics reveal record numbers once again: over 110,000 registered members at 956 clubs spread around the world!

The biggest area of growth was abroad, where 73 Inter Clubs now fly the Nerazzurri colours across every continent. There are 11 clubs in the Americas, three in Africa, two in Oceania, eight in Asia and 49 in Europe. The country with the highest number of Inter Clubs is Switzerland, with 17. There are plenty of newcomers on the list, the most notable being the new club set up in Indonesia following the team's summer tour and the first Argentine club in Buenos Aires.

Below is the top ten of the 2012/13 league table of biggest Inter Clubs (by member numbers). The Abruzzo region takes the lion's share, with three clubs in the first ten positions.

1) Indonesia: 4012 members
2) Stradella: 1340 members
3) Maltignano: 1040 members
4) Roccaspinalveti: 1010 members
5) Forlì: 925 members
6) Pescara: 740 members
7) Cuneo: 700 members
8) I Templari: 681 members
9) Giulianova: 658 members
10) Malta: 649 members

In the category for junior members (ages 0 to 13), gold, silver and bronze go to Forlì (225 members), Pescara (215 members) and Maltignano (206 members).

The 2012/13 campaign won't only be remembered for the increase in numbers, however. This year has also seen the introduction of some great new benefits for all Inter Clubs and their members, such as tickets for games at the Meazza being set aside specifically for members and the possibility to request tickets online. And we haven't finished yet! For next season the Inter Club Coordination Centre is already planning a whole host of new initiatives for all our members.
