MILAN - Silence and an immaculate blanket of snow covered the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti in Appiano Gentile this morning. After taking advantage of a day of rest, the team will meet up tomorrow at 14:15 for the first training session of the week, scheduled to start at 15:00, although without the internationals who will be with their respective national teams.
On Wednesday morning training will be held at 11:00. Thursday 21 March will see a double session for the team: the first at 11:00 and the second at 15:00. Friday the workout will begin at 11:00.
In the evening, after Slovenia v Iceland, the first Nerazzurri player to return from duty with his national team will be Samir Handanovic. There will be two days off, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24, for the team that will then meet up again at 14:15 on Monday 25 at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti for a workout at 15:00.
On Tuesday 26 there will be another double session for the players who are not with their national teams: the first at 11:00 and the second at 15:00. Andrea Ranocchia has been called up by the Azzurri for the friendly against Brazil in Geneva and will return to Milan after Malta v Italy, to be played on Tuesday 26 March. Between Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 (training is scheduled for 15:00 on both dates) the players will gradually return from the commitments with their national teams.
On Wednesday 27 Mateo Kovacic will be back from his two World Cup qualifying clashes: Croatia v Serbia and Wales v Croatia. Zdravko Kuzmanovic is set to return on the same day, after Croatia v Serbia and Serbia v Scotland. Rodrigo Palacio will be back in Italy after being with the Argentina squad away to Venezuela and at home to Bolivia. Uruguayans Walter Gargano and Alvaro Pereira will touch down in Milan on Thursday 28 after Uruguay v Paraguay and Chile v Uruguay. Fredy Guarin will also be back on Thursday 28 after Colombia v Bolivia and Venezuela v Colombia.
The week will end with a training session on Friday 29 March at 11:00 before the Nerazzurri retire for the evening ahead of the Week 30 game against Juventus at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, on Saturday 30 March at 15:00.
