STRAMACCIONI: "MISSED CHANCE BUT IT'S STILL ON"

"A slump now would be unforgivable. We're all angry and disappointed but it won't get us down"

MILAN - "There are still ten matches to play, we're not quite performing as we'd like at the moment, but there are still ten games left." This is what Andrea Stramaccioni had to saw following Inter's defeat to Bologna.

"We produced little to nothing in the first half. And we were lucky not to concede in the first period when Bologna deserved to score. Yet their goal came in the second half when we were playing at a higher tempo. We're obviously not having the best time of it but, as I've said, there are still ten games to play. It's a tight league where every side can cause you problems. There are still ten matches to go, we can and we must do it."

Stramaccioni then explained that Inter started with "the same side as at Catania, apart from Alvarez, who pulled up in our final training session. We weren't ourselves in the first half and we were punished in the second after we'd gone with a more attacking approach."

"I make mistakes just as everyone does, I think. Moratti's vote of confidence? I want to thank the president with results on the pitch. It's important now to win matches and show consistency, we can still do it. Yes, we've missed another opportunity but it's still on. It's better if we see where we are come the end of the season, it'd be a huge mistake to have a slump now. We're all angry and disappointed but we won't let it get us down. Who will I pick on Thursday? Some of them are not 100% but whoever plays, we will honour the match that awaits us."
