It wasn't easy for Daniele Bernazzani's youngsters though, as they found themselves up against a well-organised side that proved tough to break down. Inter played well in the first half but it was still goalless at the break. They carved out a number of chances after the restart with Brescia keeper Minelli keeping the scores level until the 69th minute, when Mbaye's well-struck effort from the centre of the box beat the hosts' No.1.
