MILAN – Out, but with their heads held high. Despite playing a great game, with grit and determination for 90 minutes, Inter’s Primavera team was eliminated by Arsenal in the round of 16 of the NextGen Series. On a field rendered nearly impossible due to heavy rain, the English team managed to capitalise on the only scoring chance of the entire match: a shot from outside the box from Yennaris on 69 minutes. Bernazzani’s youngsters tried to mount a final assault and came close through Tassi’s header in the 81st minute, but the Londoners withstood the Nerazzurri’s barrage and hung on to advance. Now for Inter the unique focus becomes that of the league.
