MILAN – A pulsating derby played in an electric Meazza saw Inter and AC Milan share the spoils tonight. Schelotto responded to El Shaarawy's opener as it finished 1-1.
The Rossoneri drew first blood on 21 minutes when Boateng's through ball found El
Shaarawy and the Pharaoh fired in clinically below the bar. Inter tried to fight their way back into the encounter but
only managed to threaten through Palacio. Meanwhile Handanovic came to the
rescue three times to deny Balotelli the joy of a goal against his
former employers, the big Slovene effectively keeping the Nerazzurri
in the game in the first half.
Stramaccioni's side moved up a gear after the break and levelled matters thanks to Schelotto. Just three minutes after making his entrance, the Argentine wideman rose in the box to meet Nagatomo's delivery and head past Abbiati.
