VIAREGGIO: INTER 3-0 NOGOOM, OFF TO A GOOD START

Bernazzani's side coast to victory over Egyptians in tournament opener. Goals by Bocar, Mbaye and Gabbianelli

MILAN – Inter Primavera kicked off the Viareggio Tournament in style this afternoon as they brushed aside tournament newcomers Nogoom El Mostakbal 3-0.

The game was 90 minutes of one-way traffic and the Nerazzurri showed no mercy as they put the Egyptian side to the sword with a dominant display. It took Bocar just 4 minutes to break the deadlock with a well-taken header following Zaro's flick-on from Pedrabissi's corner. Inter continued to create chances but only made certain of the win midway through the second half when Mbaye fizzed a majestic left-footed volley into the top corner from the edge of the box. Pasa then wasted the opportunity to make it three from the spot, before Gabbianelli did net the third goal with a low angled drive in the 88th minute.

It was a convincing start to the competition by Daniele Bernazzani's lads, who now look ahead to their second match against Virtus Entella on Wednesday 13 February. Inter then entertain Australian side Melbourne in their final Group 2 fixture on Friday 15 February.
