MILAN - Ibrahima Mbaye
was a guest on 'Top young 24', along with youth academy director Roberto Samaden, and he spoke about the moment he’s currently
enjoying, as well as the possibility of him remaining with the first team. But
first he began with an amusing anecdote
on the victorious final from last year’s NextGen Series: "I was sent off in the final against Ajax and was in the dressing room. Roberto
[Samaden] told me to stay there, because he thought it would bring good luck, then he would come get me later. After
the penalties no one showed up so I went out. As soon as I got on the pitch I
saw everyone celebrating [laughing]. He had forgotten!
How would I describe myself? I’ll leave that to you
journalists to decide. I’m relaxed and I’ll keep working hard."
Finally, he was asked if there was a role model he looked up to in football. "In Senegal I had posters of Didier Drogba and Patrick Vieira. But no, I don’t have a true role model. I try to learn something from everyone."
